What does it entail?

The Yamaha Off Road Experience set up in 1994 is the longest established motorcycle experience and training centre in the UK.  It was set up by enduro legend and multi-British enduro champion Geraint Jones, offers a range of training course and adventures themed towards Yamaha’s off-road and adventure machines and is set in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains in mid-Wales. The courses cover all skill levels, ranges from an Off-Road Experience Course to a Ténéré Experience, Adventure Bike Skills Course to enduro training and included 1:1 and bespoke training.

How much does is cost?

The Off-Road Experience Course starts at £280 (£110 if you use your own bike), Adventure Tours at £330 (£130 if own bike) riding to £400 for 1:1 training

Where does it take place?

At the Yamaha Off-Road Experience Centre, 5 miles outside the Mid Wales town of Llanidloes, high in the Cambrian Mountains.

How long does it take?

1-2 days

Do I use my own bike?

You can, as long as it’s appropriate, otherwise Yamahas ranging from the TT-R125 up to WR450F are available for the Off-Road Experience and for the Ténéré Experience a fleet of the all-new Yamaha Ténéré 700s

What kit do I need?

All participants are supplied with full riding kit and protection.

What will I learn?

“Our aim is to offer something for everyone, an off-road tryout for a complete novice who wishes to experience what offroad riding is all about, to top level national enduro riders who want help to improve their skills and take them to the next level.”
