Description
"Over the past few years we have been pioneering a new approach to motorcycle training..."
What does it entail?
“We are a Motorcycle Academy who specialise in changing behaviour and putting the fun in to riding bikes. There are four core machine control courses designed to change the behaviour and reactions of the rider. After completing the courses a rider will feel more confident, safer and amazed at what they can do on a bike.”
How much does is cost?
The Machine Control course comes in two parts, each costing £150, the Knee Down course is just half a day, but costs £270 and includes bike hire; the two-day Learn 2 Lean course at Brands costs £800.
Where does it take place?
Varied, but Rufforth Airfield, York, Scottow Enterprise Park, Norfolk, Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedford, and Brands Hatch are the main ones.
How long does it take?
Half day to 2 days, depending on course
Do I use my own bike?
Yes, mostly.
What kit do I need?
Depends on the course
What will I learn?
"Over the past few years we have been pioneering a new approach to motorcycle training by combining rapid learning techniques and advanced skills used by professionals (road, off-road, supermoto, track). The result: A series of four powerful one-day courses designed to completely transform your riding. For example, in the Machine Control training you will learn how to: Be significantly more confident in the wet or on slippery roads; Skilfully and confidently ride over gravel or bumpy road surfaces; Deal with a bend that unexpectedly tightens up; Safely bring your bike to a halt in half the distance you think you can; Cure panic-braking forever; Confidently do low speed turns or circles in the road, even two-up; Use body position to increase the stability of your bike; You will learn that your bike is infinitely more stable than you realise and that you were actually making it less stable than it was ever meant to be; Each Machine Control event builds on the previous one to completely transform your riding."
