Description
What does it entail?
BikeSafe is UK-wide police run motorcycle initiative aimed at improving safety and raising awareness of the value of post-test training. To achieve this, BikeSafe groups affiliated with 39 regional police forces, occasionally offer workshops which usually include an observed ride with a police graded motorcyclist or approved BikeSafe observer.
How much does is cost?
It can vary, but BikeSafe workshop usually costs around £65. A second day comprising an IAM/RoSPA Skills or similar riding day is usually free.
Where does it take place?
Various locations across the UK associated with the participating police force.
How long does it take?
The theory section of the BikeSafe workshop is completed on either three consecutive Tuesday evenings between 19.00 and 21.00 or a one-day workshop from 09.00 – 16.00

Yes.
What kit do I need?
None for Workshop, usual riding kit for riding day.
What will I learn?
BikeSafe workshops are delivered in a classroom and are intended to be fun and engaging. With some local variation, BikeSafe workshops aim to cover: rider attitude, systematic methods, collision causation, cornering, positioning, overtaking, observation, braking, hazard perception and use of gears. The observed ride is purely that with not test to pass or fail. An evaluation form will be completed for you to take away to assist you get the most out of your motorcycling and hopefully take you on to further training with an approved provider.
