Bennetts Machine Control days are a chance to learn – and practice – precision low-speed machine-control, better braking, counter-steering and much more in a safe, low-pressure environment. Our Machine Control Days pack a huge amount into a full seven-hour day It’s probably the best value training day available anywhere! Here’s what you’ll learn.

1. Better-riding theory and smart practices

  • This session helps riders identify bad habits and correct them early, building a process of self-improvement.

2. Machine Handling Tips and Techniques

  • This session increases rider confidence in low-speed bike handling on and off the bike. Slow riding, slalom, moving the bike around with confidence and even help learning how to pick up a dropped bike easily and safely.

  • These techniques remove the challenges of filtering in busy traffic and navigating tricky and tight situations.

3. Counter steering

  • Learn the principles of counter-steering, try it out for yourself and build your confidence slowly with a series of drills that will build confidence and get you actively engaging with and steering your bike like a pro.

4. Braking techniques

  • Learn how to use your brakes more effectively and confidently in complete safety. Practice braking without pressure under the watchful eye of expert instructors.

5. Precision riding

  • We won’t spoil the secret, but by the end of this session you’ll be doing things on a bike you never imagined possible.
